Hand-crafted Shoji Tabuchi Kokeshi Doll

This kokeshi doll represents Japanese-American country music violinist and entertainer Shoji Tabuchi. Born on April 16, 1944, he passed away on August 11, 2023. Shoji Tabuchi was known for his long-running show in Branson, Missouri, which featured a variety of music and dance performances. He began playing the violin at the age of seven and was inspired by American country music legend Roy Acuff. Tabuchi’s show, which ran for many years, became a popular attraction in Branson and showcased his talent and showmanship. Kokeshi is in good used condition. He has a few small scratches and is 6 3/4 inches tall and 2 inches wide.
